Coulis Cardiology Receives Nuclear Laboratory Accreditation

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – Coulis Cardiology, located in Sheboygan, Wis., has recently been granted accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories (ICANL). The laboratory is one of the first nuclear cardiology laboratories in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico to be so recognized for its commitment to high-quality patient care and for its provision of quality diagnostic testing.

A complex imaging technique, nuclear cardiology testing relies on the experience and training of both the physician and the technologist. Their interpretive and technical abilities determine the diagnostic accuracy of the examination. The ICANL's accreditation program evaluates the quality of these and other critical elements of a nuclear cardiology laboratory.

Participation in the accreditation process is voluntary. Accreditation status signifies that the facility has been reviewed by an independent agency, which recognizes the laboratory's commitment to quality testing for the diagnosis of heart disease.

Coulis Cardiology is the Sheboygan region's only independent cardiology practice and has been caring for the hearts and lives of the community for more than 15 years. Coulis Cardiology staff members are proud to deliver to exceptional, comprehensive heart care with easy access, swift scheduling and a patient-first philosophy. Coulis Cardiology has recently doubled in size to ensure innovative, clinically excellent heart care is available to everyone in the area. Click to download news release.
